introduction
i had a bad experience in 7th grade making a pair of plaid boxers. i remember quite well, the plaid was red, green, dark blue, and white. aside from the constant bunching up of fabric while sewing and my inability to sew in straight lines, thus having to re-do a lot of my seams, my final product was pathetically disproportioned. one leg i could not pull up past the knee; the other was ok. for all my efforts and pain, i received a bad grade. first time ever in my academic career that i was not able to figure out what the hell is going on in class. fast forward to 15 years of living in constant fear around sewing and seams and stitches later, my friend kurtzen reintroduced me the modern sewing machine. well, more like pushing me in headfirst. it's ok though. i'm learning.
